Privacy Policy
We collect the information we need to answer your estimate request, and not much else. This page explains what we collect, why, and what happens to it.
Last updated: August 2026. We are a Calgary roofing company, not a data company. We aim to handle personal information in line with the principles of Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). If anything on this page is unclear, email info@roofrightsolutions.ca and a person will answer.
What we collect
The information you give us
Almost everything we hold about you is information you typed into a form or told us on the phone. We do not buy data about you, and we do not collect more than the job needs.
- Estimate and contact forms
- When you request an estimate or send us a message, we ask for your name, email address, phone number, property address, and the service you are interested in, plus anything you choose to write in the message field. That is the full list of form fields we collect.
- Phone and email
- If you call or email us directly, we keep the details you share the same way any contractor keeps job notes: your contact information, the property address, and what you asked about.
- Website analytics and session recording
We use two tools to understand how visitors use this site. Google Analytics tells us which pages are read, roughly where visitors come from, and what devices they use. Microsoft Clarity does something more, and we would rather say so plainly: it records your visit and lets us replay it, including mouse movement, clicks and scrolling, so we can see where a page is confusing. Both tools set cookies.
We use this to fix pages, not to identify you. We do not connect analytics data to your estimate request, and we do not try to work out who a recording belongs to. Our estimate forms are built so that everything you type into them is hidden from these recordings, including your name, phone number and property address.
Analytics and session recording are currently on for this browser.
This choice is remembered in this browser only, so you would need to set it again on another device or after clearing your browsing data. When it is off, neither script is loaded at all.
How we use it
Why we collect it and where it goes
One purpose: responding to you about your roof. Here is the honest mechanics of what happens after you press submit.
- Responding to your request
- We use your contact details to reach you about your estimate request, schedule the visit, and follow up on the work you asked about. We may also use them to answer a warranty claim or a question about a past project.
- The companies that handle your information
We would rather name them than say "service providers":
- Resend delivers your form submission to our inbox as an email. It receives everything you typed, including your property address.
- Cloudflare hosts this website and runs the spam check on our forms. Every visit reaches Cloudflare's servers, and submitting a form sends your IP address to its bot check.
- Google provides the analytics described above.
- Microsoft provides the session recording described above.
Each of these handles your information on our behalf as part of doing that job. None of them is free to use it for their own purposes, and none of them is sold your information.
- Where your information is stored
- The companies that help us run this site and answer your request are based outside Canada, mostly in the United States. That means your information may be stored or handled there, and while it is there it can be reached by that country's courts and law enforcement under that country's law, which is not the same as Canadian law. We use them because they are the ordinary tools for a small business website, and we hold them to handling your information only for us.
- What we never do
- We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent it, trade it, or hand it to marketers. The only people who see your details are the people who need them to respond to your request.
Retention
How long we keep it
Plain language, because retention policies rarely are.
- If you become a customer
- We keep your project records for as long as your warranty runs, plus whatever business and tax records the law requires us to hold. A 15-year workmanship warranty is only useful if we can still find your file in year fourteen.
- If you only asked for an estimate
- We keep estimate inquiries long enough to respond and follow up, then they age out of our inbox the way ordinary business email does. If you want your inquiry deleted sooner, ask and we will delete it.
- Your choices
- You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (subject to records we are legally required to keep). You can also decline cookies in your browser settings; the site still works without them.
